Be a Participating Writer in 2027

 at the 

15^th Annual Hobart Festival of Women Writers

Held in Hobart, N. Y., The Book Village of the Catskills!

THE HOBART FESTIVAL OF WOMEN WRITERS PLANNING COMMITTEE enthusiastically invites and encourages published Women Writers of all genres to submit the requested materials by October 31, 2026, so you may be considered for participation in the 2027 Hobart Festival of Women Writers (HFWW) to be held on June 4, 5, and 6. 

Interested Writers should submit the following materials to the HFWW Planning Committee:

1.  Five to 15 pages of unpublished or published writing (print or online), which may include, e.g., fiction, nonfiction, essay, memoir, poetry, drama, or other creative writing.

• A detailed description of a 2-hour Writing Workshop you    

would offer Festival Participants, including examples of  in-session writing exercises;

• A brief and current resumé, which includes: a) any experiences of teaching writing or literature to adults as well as any other pertinent literary experience; b) a list of published work, which includes at least one mainstream, academic, or independent press or self-published book. Previously unproduced dramatic works are also considered.

The goal of the Hobart Festival of Women Writers Planning Committee is to attract and present a program of accomplished women writers. The task of the Festival Selection Committee is to choose from the submissions a diverse assemblage of women writers. Diversity of writers and variety of genres are hallmarks of the Festival.
