Hobart Festival of Women Writers is still going strong

We’re planning our twelfth Festival weekend, and are very excited to announce the Participating Writers for Festival 2025

These outstanding writers will offer workshops, readings, panel discussions, and an art exhibit at Festival 2025 on June 6, 7 &8th

We are also facing, for the first time, a financial shortfall. Funders who have supported us in the past have not come through this year. To produce a Festival weekend as we have in the past, we’re launching our annual fundraising appeal early. In this climate of uncertainty and outright hostility toward programs that celebrate and amplify women’s work, we are creating a space for the work of women writers. This fundraiser is a call to arms, but not in a military sense. It’s more like arms linking, shoulder to shoulder, to support the people and programs that make us feel connected and hopeful. We are facing a headwind, but we are not ready to quit.
